Every Classroom. Every Student. Every Day.
Superintendent of Schools

From Interim Superintendent Richard Lind:

Dear Faculty, Staff, Students, Families, and Community,

I am very excited to introduce myself to you as your Interim Superintendent of Schools.  It is an honor to have the opportunity to work in a community that values education the way Webster does, as evidenced by the beautiful facilities the town has provided and the recent approval of the 1:1 initiative passed at Town Meeting.  Clearly, Webster believes in the old adage, “It takes a village to raise a child”.

I was born and raised in Norwood, MA; and currently reside in Bellingham with my wife, son, mother-in-law, and dogs.  I have been an educator in Massachusetts for over 20 years serving as a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Curriculum.  I have worked in a variety of settings which has allowed me to gather much information about teaching and learning.

I will be in Webster for 2 days near the end of June working with Dr. Malkas and the Administrative team working on a transition plan.  I will spend the summer months focused on meeting and developing relationships with the many stakeholder groups, working to develop an entry plan based on the district and school goals, and ensuring everything is in place as we prepare to open school in the Fall.   I hope everyone  has a safe and fun summer and I look forward meeting everyone in the fall.

Sincerely,

Richard Lind
